Nervoderm Dermal Patch provides effective relief from the shooting, stabbing, burning symptoms of medically diagnosed post shingles nerve pain. (refs CMI & carton)
Nervoderm contains the active ingredient lidocaine (lignocaine) that provides pain relief without the numbness. Nervoderm provides effective nerve pain relief from the shooting, stabbing, burning symptoms of medically diagnosed post-shingles nerve pain. Nervoderm can be worn during the day or at night for up to 12 hours, followed by 12 hours off. The easy to apply hydrogel patch forms a protective barrier providing a soothing effect at the site of application, which may be sensitive to touch, heat or cold. How to remove NERVODERM® Dermal Patch –
When changing the patch, remove the old patch slowly. If it does not come off easily, you can soak it in warm water for a few minutes before removing it.
If you forget to remove the patch after 12 hours –
As soon as you remember, remove the old patch. A new patch can be used again after 12 hours.
If you forget to use NERVODERM® Dermal Patch –
If it is almost time for you to apply the next patch dose, skip the one you missed and apply the next patch when you are meant to.
Otherwise, apply a new patch as soon as you remember, and then go back to your normal schedule. Do not use a double dose to make up for the dose you missed.FIRST AID INFORMATION
If you use too much NERVODERM® Dermal Patch (overdose)
Immediately telephone your doctor, or the Poisons Information Centre (telephone
13 11 26) if you think you or anyone else may have used too much NERVODERM® Dermal Patch.
Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
Symptoms of an overdose may include: dizziness, vomiting, drowsiness, taste disturbances or loss of taste, seizures, dilated pupils, a low heart beat, changes in
the way the heart beats (faster, slower, irregular), and shock.HAZMAT Class: N/A

Contains: Contains hydroxybenzoates as a preservative.
Each 10 cm x 14 cm patch contains 700mg (5%w/w) lidocaine (lignocaine)
Self-adhesive layer: Glycerol, sorbitol solution (70%) (crystalising), carmellose sodium, propylene glycol, urea, kaolin-heavy, tartaric acid, gelatin, polyvinyl alcohol, aluminium glycinate, disodium edetate, methyl hydroxybenzoate, propyl hydroxybenzoate, polyacrylic acid, sodium polyacrylate, water-purified.
Backing fabric: polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
Release liner: polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

Directions for use:
For topical use only.
Adult dose: apply to a maximum of 3 patches at the same time to the site of pain.
Patches can be left on for 12 hours, followed by 12 hours off and applied day and night.
How to apply Nervoderm
Step 1: Open the sachet, remove a patch, and seal the sachet again.
Step 2: If required, cut the patch to fit the painful area.
Step 3: Remove the transparent liner from the patch.
Step 4: Apply the patch to the site of pain. Press onto the skin for at least 10 seconds to ensure it sticks firmly.USAGE ADVICE

NERVODERM® Dermal Patches should be worn for no more than 12 hours per day. Applying the patches for a longer time or using more than 3 NERVODERM patches per day could cause serious reactions. Remember you should not use other products that contain lidocaine at the same time.
Wait 12 hours after removing patches before applying new patches.STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Storage Keep NERVODERM® Dermal Patch in the box until it is time to use it.
Keep your medicine in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 25C.
Do not refrigerate or freeze.
After first opening, keep the sachet tightly closed. After opening the sachet, the patches should be used within 14 days.
Do not store NERVODERM® Dermal Patch or any other medicine in the bathroom or near a sink.
Do not leave NERVODERM® Dermal Patch in the car or on window sills. Heat and dampness can destroy some medicines.
Keep it where children cannot reach it.
A locked cupboard at least one-and-half metres above the ground is a
good place to store medicines.
Disposal If your doctor or pharmacist tells you to stop using NERVODERM® Dermal Patch, or your medicine has passed its expiry date, ask your pharmacist what to do with any left over patches.
Used patches still contain active ingredient, which may be harmful to others. Fold the used patch in half, with the sticky sides together and throw them away so that they are out of the reach of children.STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
